After a hiatus of about 25 years I made it across the pond to the UK. There is an idiom that says: The more things change, the more they stay the same, and that is definitely true for London. This city was not unaffected by global commercialization (here is your Starbucks, here is your TGI Fridays, here is your Chanel store, here is… — almost feels like walking through an international airport terminal). Luckily the English pub (I tried looking for a Scottish pub– could not find one), most of them with cozy settings, good food and very interesting names, are still alive.
For a change– I included some photos from my very first visit to London.
